What Imsak, Sahur and Iftar mean
Sahur is the pre-dawn meal eaten before the daily fast begins. Imsak marks the point Sahur should end — a short caution period before Subuh (Fajr) so the fast starts on time.
Iftar (berbuka puasa) is the meal that breaks the fast at Maghrib, once the sun has set.
How Ramadan dates are determined
The start and end of Ramadan in Malaysia follow official moon-sighting (rukyah) announcements, typically confirmed by JAKIM and state religious authorities close to the date. MasjidMe does not publish its own Ramadan start-date prediction — check JAKIM's official announcements or your state religious department nearer the time.
