MasjidMe is operated by Green Studio (Greeny App Studio). This page explains what data the MasjidMe website and app handle, why, and how you can ask us about it.
Location for prayer times
When you allow location access, your device sends coordinates to our /api/prayer-times endpoint so we can find the nearest official prayer zone or city. Coordinates are used to answer that one request and are not written to a database. You can also search for a city by name or pick a JAKIM zone manually instead of sharing your location.
Ustaz Adam (AI chat)
Questions you send to Ustaz Adam are forwarded to our AI provider (Firebase AI) to generate a response and are not stored in a MasjidMe database. Ustaz Adam's answers are general information, not a fatwa or a substitute for a qualified scholar — see our Terms of Use for details.
Anonymous usage counter
We keep a single running total of site visits in Firebase Firestore. It is a number only — no personal data, device identifiers, or browsing history are attached to it.
Analytics, cookies, and session recordings
We use a small set of analytics tools to understand how people actually use the website, so we can fix confusing pages and improve navigation instead of guessing:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — page views and aggregate traffic patterns.
- Microsoft Clarity — session recordings (replays of on-page scrolling and clicks) and heatmaps (aggregated click/scroll patterns across visitors).
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — aggregate traffic and page-performance metrics.
These tools use cookies or similar browser-based identifiers (such as local storage) to recognize repeat visits from the same browser. This produces pseudonymous usage information — tied to a randomly assigned browser/session identifier, not to your name, since the MasjidMe website has no accounts or logins.
What we don't intentionally collectthrough these tools: your name, email address, phone number, or exact GPS coordinates. We do not pass a User ID to GA4 or Clarity. The Ustaz Adam chat box is explicitly masked from Microsoft Clarity — both your questions and Ustaz Adam's answers are excluded from session recordings and heatmaps before Clarity receives anything, so that content is not visible in Clarity's dashboard.
Managing cookies:the MasjidMe website does not currently show an in-site cookie-consent banner. You can still control or block these cookies at the browser level — for example, blocking third-party cookies, using your browser's tracking-protection mode, or an ad/tracker-blocking extension — which will prevent GA4 and Clarity from loading. We are reviewing whether a dedicated on-site consent control is needed and will add one if required.
This section describes our data-handling practices as accurately as we can; it is not a claim of compliance with any specific privacy law (such as GDPR or Malaysia's PDPA). If you need a formal compliance determination, that requires a qualified legal review, which this page does not substitute for.
Third-party data sources
Prayer times are sourced from JAKIM e-Solat where available, with WaktuSolat.app and the AlAdhan API as fallbacks. Indonesian prayer times use eQuran.id. Quran text and audio are sourced from Al-Quran Cloud. We do not control how these third parties handle requests made to their APIs on your behalf.
Accounts
The MasjidMe website does not currently require an account to use prayer times, Quran, Qibla direction, or Ustaz Adam.
